Lila celebrates 153rd founding anniversary using technology
Lila town celebrates its 153rd founding anniversary with an international flavor using technology at the same time observing health and safety protocols as the whole world remains stuck in this Coronavirus disease (Covid) pandemic.
According to reports, the town government led by Mayor Arturo Jed Piollo, used technology to the hilt. Technology played a huge role in the celebrations as platforms such as Facebook helped bring the celebrations to different parts of the world. This is truly unique.
The same reports add that each of the town’s 17 barangays set up booths to display their respective agricultural products and the photos are posted on social media. Customers can now choose the produce they want to buy and going directly to the barangay’s booth.
It was also reported that the booths will not dismantled after the festivities. The booths will be converted into purok posts.
Moreover, every barangay of the town also produced dance numbers that were recorded and uploaded to Facebook, according to the report.
