Inabanga relays bulletin of town activities

ADDRESSING CLIMATE CHANGE. Members of teamINABANGA, under the leadership of Mayor Roygie Jumamoy and represented by key department heads and employees (photo 1) attend the ZOOM meeting spearheaded by Rice Watch Action Network (R1) in partnership with Greenpeace Philippines and the House Committee on Climate Change chaired by Bohol 1st District Representative Edgar M. Chatto. The meeting was held on January 27, 2021 at the municipality’s huddle room. The photo also shows other people in attendance: Lawis and Ondol Punong Barangays Hermenia Aupe and Expedito Lumayno, respectively.The group (photo 2), discussed the initial presentation and expert’s inputs on the Participatory Risk Assessment Process involving some of Bohol’s small island communities, which are most vulnerable to rising sea levels. The discussion aimed to raise awareness of the current sea level conditions and encourage the declaration of a local climate emergency considering Inabanga is one of the most affected municipalities when it comes to climate change. Inabanga Communications and News Service / ICoNS)
