Coun. Montero-Caindec pays tribute to teachers for their contribution to society
Panglao councilor Aya Montero-Caindec pays tribute to the teachers for their contribution to society. This recognition of teachers was expressed in her speech delivered during the awarding ceremonies honoring tenured teachers of the town.
The awarding rites transpired on Jan. 27, 2021 at Henann Convention Center, according to a report from the Municipality of Panglao.
Public school teachers of the town who are tenured, received certificates of appreciation for the services they have been rendering by educating learners of the town.
The ceremonial awarding, dubbed as the milestone awards, is for the valuable years of service the teachers have given to the public.
Coun. Montero-Caindec, was the keynote speaker representing Mayor Montero.
In her speech, Montero-Caindec called the teachers as the second parents of our children. She said the teachers are modern heroes for they are the ones instilling wisdom and knowledge to all learners during their formative years to become responsible men and women in the future.
As this developed, the service awardees were all given special recognition as each received certificates of appreciation and medals.
Meanwhile during her speech, Montero-Caindec mentioned that the Special Educational Fund of the town amounting approximately to P13million has been approved already by Panglao’s School Board.
