PRO 7 chief leads distribution of relief, livelihood programs in 3 towns

Rebel returnees and less fortunate families in three (3) towns in Bohol receive relief goods and livelihood assistance from the Police Regional Office 7 (PRO 7) of the Philippine National Police, a report from the agency says.

The PRO 7, under the leadership of Police Regional Director Brig. Gen. Ronnie Montejo, distributed the relief goods and livelihood assistance to identified beneficiaries in the towns of Sevilla, Bilar and Carmen.

The relief and livelihood distribution took place on Jan. 27 and 30, 2021, the same press release said.

The program aims to improve the lives of the rebel returnees and the impoverished families from the said towns facilitated under the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflicts (NTFELCAC) program.

Moreover, Montejo said that building good relationship with the community is a key factor in preventing crimes. He added that the community’s help is critical when it comes to maintaining peace and order.
