Aris distributes TUPAD livelihood checks to beneficiaries
Second district Rep. Erico Aristotle Aumentado participates in the distribution of checks to beneficiaries of the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced workers (TUPAD).
To recall, TUPAD is a community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers, for a minimum period of 10 days, but not to exceed a maximum of 30 days, depending on the nature of work to be performed.
TUPAD requires the beneficiary to signify his/her intention to avail himself/herself of a skills training program in preparation for a wage employment scheme after the project. Aumentado took the program further – by providing start-up funds, also from DOLE, for livelihood.
He expressed gratitude to President Rodrigo Duterte and Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III for the TUPAD program that has lifted the spirits of his 2nd District constituents during this challenging time of the Coronavirus disease (Covid) pandemic.
The solon went on a distribution binge in the second week of January . He has given TUPAD checks to beneficiaries in the towns of Sagbayan, Danao, Getafe, Buenavista, Inabanga, Talibon, Bien Unido, Pres. Carlos P. Garcia, Ubay, San Isidro, Clarin, Dagohoy, San Miguel and Trinidad.
