Unidentified assailants gun a Buenavista man

Unidentified assailants gun a Buenavista man, a police report from Camp Dagohoy said. The incident took place on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2021.

Police identified the victim as a certain Christopher Centino, 37, of barangay Rufo Hill, Buenavista town.

Based on the initial investigation, the victim was on board his motorcycle traveling from barangay Rufo Hill towards barangay Bonotbonot. Upon reaching a sari-sari store, the victim stopped and disembarked from his motorcycle.

It was at that moment when the unidentified assailants on board a motorcycle, approached the victim and the backrider shot the victim several times.

The victim was hit in his left leg, left arm and left portion of his body, the report bares.

The suspects then fled towards an unknown direction, the same report adds.

The same report reveals the victim was rescued and brought to the Dagohoy Memorial Hospital in Inabanga and then transferred to a hospital in Tagbilaran.

Police are now conducting a follow-up investigation to determine the identity and motive of the suspects.
