Panglao mayor Leonila Montero (left) hands a plaque of recognition to Brig. Gen. Albert Ignatius D. Ferro (right), former Philippine National Police regional director for Central Visayas. The Sangguniang Bayan (SB) passed Resolution No. 208, Series of 2020 declaring the latter as an adopted son of the Municipality of Panglao. The SB resolution mentions further that one of the leading contributions of Brig. Gen. Ferro to the town was the reassignment of Panglaoanon police officers from other provinces back to Panglao or within the island province of Bohol.
