Nestle PH partners with Tagb for nutrition educational campaign
The City Nutrition Council headed by City Mayor John Geesnell Yap II extends his appreciation to food conglomerate Nestle Philippines for the education campaign that will be launched in Tagbilaran City.
The campaign is dubbed as “Malnutrisyon Wagtangon, Saktong Pagluto ang Solusyon Para sa Healthy Tagbilaranon”, the report by the City Media Bureau says.
City Nutrition Action Officer Dr. Jeia Pondoc and City Nutrition Program Coordinator Rey Delos Santos said that the partnership between the city and the food conglomerate aims to educate the Tagbilaranons on how to prepare nutritious, delicious, and affordable meals through a recipe book.
The recipe book was prepared by the Department of Science and Technology-Food and Nutrition Research Institute (DOST-FNRI).
The said recipe book will be distributed for free to the 15 barangays of the city, the City Media Bureau report adds.

TaskUs BPO opens work site in Tagb
The City Media Bureau reports that Business process outsourcing (BPO) company TaskUs opens its latest work site located in Tagbilaran City.
The new BPO brings job opportunities to Tagbilaranons even if the Coronavirus disease (Covid) pandemic is far from over.
Mayor John Geesnell Yap II confirmed this as TaskUs starts its operation in Tagbilaran this month.
According to Rohl Mariano, the public relations specialist of TaskUs, the work site is located along Rajah Sikatuna Drive near the Island City Mall.
The company spokesman told The Bohol Tribune in a text message, as part of the official launch of the new work site, which happened on Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, TaskUs sponsored a free virtual concert featuring Australian-Filipino singer-actor James Reid.
The digital concert was streamed via TaskUs’ social media accounts. Ten lucky TaskUs personnel and applicants were given the chance to meet and greet James Reid virtually after the concert.
The entry of this innovative BPO is timely to help jump start the local economy that has been affected by the lockdowns and other restrictions due to the pandemic.
“Some of our residents had lost their jobs due to the pandemic. We are indeed elated that industries expressed their interest in investing in the city. This will revitalize the local economy,” Yap said.
TaskUs in Tagbilaran is housed in 47,400 square foot work site and offers extraordinary recreation areas like an indoor basketball court, a gym, ample spaces for mindfulness and relaxation, collaborative spaces, and fun zones including an indoor slide.
TaskUs is a BPO operating in different technology hubs globally, including the United States, European Union, Taiwan, India, and eight other cities in the Philippines.
“We’re thrilled to expand our footprint within the Philippines where we already have many TaskUs teammates and an established company culture,” said Chin Monsale, TaskUs VP of Operations for Bohol.
“Bohol is an exciting new talent market for us, and we’re looking forward to welcoming the new members of the TaskUs team.”
TaskUs is an industry leader when it comes to employee benefits. Among others, employees have access to one-on-one meetings with in-house life coaches and 24/7 psychological and psychiatric services via teleconsultation—which are free.
Monsale continued: “This expansion comes on the heels of other offices opening worldwide, from Cali, Colombia to Harlingen, Texas. New Bohol teammates will experience a new on boarding and hiring process that we’ve adjusted to meet the challenges of COVID-19, while maintaining the underlying supportive atmosphere TaskUs is known for.”
