FIRST TIME

The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana (extreme left, bending and using the shovel as he does the honors for the groundbreaking ceremony) comes to Bohol for the first time as the Chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Sobejana planed in on Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, for an overnight visit to grace the groundbreaking ceremonies of the Special Forces Riverine headquarters and school located in a 22-hectare lot in barangay Upper dela Paz, Cortes town. Sobejana, in his speech after the groundbreaking ceremony said that Bohol is chosen to be the site of the riverine school because the province is peaceful and relatively free from insurgents. The facility will train personnel of the AFP, to make them ready for deployment and maintaining peace and order the country. Others in the photo are: Gov. Art Yap (extreme right), Vice Gov.
