NGCP apologizes for unscheduled brownout

The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) apologizes to the public for the inconvenience caused by the brownout affecting almost the entire province
Almost the entire province was plunged into darkness as parts of the service areas of the distribution utilities here, Bohol Electric Cooperative 1 and 2 and Bohol Light Company Inc.  were affected by the unscheduled brownout.
The NGCP reports that it was able to fully restore the power transmission services in Bohol last night at around 11:34 pm, Betty Martinez, the corporate communications officer of NGCP in a text message to The Bohol Tribune said.
Martinez said that the unscheduled brownout started at 8:32 pm  when the 100 MVA transformer at Ubay substation tripped.
