The Hall of Justice located in Tagbilaran City reopens after having been closed for disinfection, according to Regional Trial Court (RTC) branch 2 judge Jennifer Chavez-Marcos.

The judge bared this information in a radio interview on Tuesday, Mar. 9, 2021, over Open Forum hosted by Ardy Araneta-Batoy and Dave Albarado.

The judge said in the same interview that the temporary closure of the Hall of Justice was for disinfection of the place following the release of results that one employee in one of the offices located in the said hall tested positive for Covid.

Despite the order to reopen coming from the Executive Judge Leo Moises Lison , Judge Marcos said that there are judges that are yet to resume hearings in their respective salas.

Judge Marcos said she heard that the employees of the office where the Covid patient belongs will have their swab tests on Tuesday, Mar. 9, 2021.

Since it will take 24 to 48 hours before the swab test results will be released, Judge Marcos said that as a precautionary measure, some judges decided to temporarily halt hearing sessions.

For her part, she is looking to suspend activities in her courtroom as precaution.

Moreover, Judge Marcos said that Lison called for a meeting this afternoon regarding the operation of the Hall of Justice following the release of the report that an employee of the said office tested positive for Covid.
