City identifies 5 vaccination sites

The City of Tagbilaran identifies five (5) sites where the vaccines will be administered, according to a report.

The report said that City Health Officer (CHO) Jeia Pondoc told the Sangguniang Panglungsod that the City Government has already named the following places as the vaccination sites: Bool Elementary School, Tagbilaran City College, City Central Elementary School and the Cogon gymnasium.

Each of the sites will have 10 frontliners to be composed of vaccinators, doctors, nurses, and medical aides.

She said that prior to the vaccination period, there will be a simulation exercise to ensure a seamless flow during the actual vaccination activities.

Moreover, Pondoc told the aldermen at the City Council that it is expected that the vaccines ordered by the City Government may arrive on the later part of the third quarter of 2021.

The City Council, in its regular session two weeks ago, approved a resolution allowing the use of P3 million from the trust fund of the unexpended local disaster risk reduction and management funds of the City Government.

The P3 million will be used to purchase medical equipment, medical supplies, food supplies, repair of equipment and the maintenance of vaccination stations, a report bares.
