Husband stabs wife in Ubay following argument

A husband stabs his wife following a heated argument between the two in Ubay town, according to a report from Camp Dagohoy.

The incident took place on Sunday, Mar. 7, 2021 at barangay Tapon of the said town, the same report bares.

Police identified the suspect as a certain Nepomuceno Oyao,45, a construction worker, of barangay Tapon, Ubay.

The suspect is being accused of stabbing his wife identified as Ritchie Oyao.

Based on the initial investigation, the suspect went to the house of the victim’s parents allegedly to confront his wife for a certain issue. 

The same report reveals that a heated argument ensued between the husband and the wife. It was learned by the police that the husband grabbed a kitchen knife owned by the victim’s parents and used the knife to stab the victim.

The victim was brought to Don Emilio del Valle Memorial Hospital by emergency respondents from the Ubay Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.

Meanwhile, the suspect was arrested by the police as appropriate charges will be filed against him.
