Town News – Panglao

Panglao mayor Leonila Montero (seated on the motorcycle) is getting ready for a ride using one of the two new motorcycles completely equipped with sirens, blinkers, among others. The two brand new Traffic Enforcement Motorcycles procured by the Local Government Unit of Panglao, were officially presented to Montero at the vicinity of the Panglao Municipal Hall by the officers and staff members of the Panglao Traffic Management Office on March 29, 2021. LGU-Panglao’s Executive Assistant handling the Communications Department, Chandymar Batoy (right, standing, holding microphone), interacts with the kids of Balicasag Island during one of the activities related to the culmination of the Women’s Month celebration where Batoy was master of ceremonies. The culmination activity was done on Saturday, March 27, 2021 with Panglao mayor Leonila Montero leading the ceremonies with the support from the Municipal Social Welfare and Development, Gender and Development Office and the Panglao Women’s Association. The program included various activities such as lecture-forum on the Violence Against Women and Children law, feeding and fluoride application for the children, and distribution of dental kits to the kids of Balicasag Island in cooperation with the Rotary Club of Panglao Island.
