Smart donates pocket wi-fi for 2nd dist. schools
Smart Communication donates 300 units of pocket wifi to the different schools in Bohol’s 2nd District of Bohol, Second district Rep. Erico Aristotle Aumentado said in a post.
Aumentado said Smart turned over the pocket wi-fi units in simple rites in Ubay town on Friday, April 16, 2021.
In attendance were top Smart-Bohol officials, Ubay Mayor Constantino Reyes and local government officials as well as the head of each of the different schools – most of them attending the said event virtually, information from the office of the solon said.
The solon also said that the donation forms part of Smart’s corporate social responsibility.
It aims to: help students keep up with the latest technology, assist them in their research, and allow them to get real time information on what’s happening in the world.
Aumentado, the chair of the House Committee on Science and Technology, gives weight to the adage that “charity begins at home” hence the choice of beneficiaries in the initial batch of donation.
