The town of Panglao is staging a Dive Festival, which acts as a springboard, not just to revive its tourism industry, but also to package the island paradise as a diving mecca in the country. The festival, slated on May 4 to 9, 2021, will attract divers, suppliers of diving equipment and accessories, and aside from the dives into the beautiful and deep blue sea, the event also doubles as a trade hub. The festival will definitely be an occasion to observe, appreciate and love Panglao’s marine life which has been enjoying some form of respite from any visit due to the lockdowns that disabled diving activities.
