Onami: great and unmatched Japanese cuisine
There is a new place in Panglao town for great Japanese food and world-class service and its name is Onami.
Onami, which means “great waves” signifies the restaurant’s mission to provide a great dining experience by offering exquisite Japanese specialties.
Restaurant owner Manuel Mendoza, in his brief speech said that he brought a chef from Manila to come up with delectable Japanese dishes for Boholanos to enjoy.
For his part, Tumoy Leisure Village’s general manager Rommel Gonzalez thanked all who came to the launch and invites all to have taste of the dishes which the new restaurant has to offer.
Onami is a welcome addition to the Moadto Strip and Modala Beach Resort located at Doljo, Panglao.
Onami Restaurant is noted for its welcoming yet sophisticated setting having modern interiors mixed with the traditional design of wide glass panels that allow the natural light to pass through.
This bright and warm ambiance compliments Onami’s genuine flavor which the Japanese are well-known for.
Onami Japanese Restaurant has a total seating capacity of 86 diners.
Its main dining hall can accommodate over 50 people, while there are at least 10 seats available by the sushi bar.
Onami eyes to become the new prime spot for business meetings, special events or intimate celebrations as it also opens “Koshitsu” the private room that can be subdivided and can comfortably accommodate over 20 guests.
During the launch last April 14, 2021, some personalities graced the event such as Panglao mayor Leonila Montero, Cong. Edgar Chatto, and Transportation Sec. Arthur Tugade. Also in attendance was Miss Universe Philippines third runner-up Pauline Amelinckx, among others.
Onami’s doors are open daily from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm for lunch while 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm for dinner.
The restaurant offers a wide array of dishes ranging from Otoshi potato salad as appetizer, Sushi rolls and California Maki, Tempura Maki, Tekka Maki, Agemono Pork Tonkatsu, Donburi Katsudon and many more!
The restaurant is located at the Ground Level, North Wing of Moadto Strip Mall, Tumoy Leisure Village, Doljo, Panglao town.
