Capitol to reopen Monday after closure

The Bohol Provincial Capitol will re-open tomorrow, April 26, 2021 after the building was ordered to be closed for disinfection on Friday, April 23, 2021.

The closure of the Capitol for disinfection came after several employees of the provincial government tested positive for Coronavirus disease (Covid).

As of Friday, around 29 employees were declared positive for Covid: 14 personnel of the Provincial General Services Office and 15 employees of the Provincial Treasurer’s Office caught the virus that causes Covid.

The provincial government said in an advisory Thursday, Apr. 22, 2021, the thorough disinfection would be conducted by the Provincial Health Office of all offices in the entire capitol building.

All capitol-based employees were advised to follow the work from home arrangement to allow a thorough cleaning of the capitol complex premises.

As of April 23, 2021, Bohol recorded a total of 570 active cases and 36 deaths.
