The Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Development Division (SDD) chief of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Bohol Vierna Chiu Ligan was awarded as one of the Outstanding Dalubhasa of the Project Dalubhasa.

Ligan was awarded on April 19, 2021 by the DTI Academy, according to information from DTI-Bohol.

The said project is an effort to create a credible and robust human resource system for the DTI.

The month long intensive program was given to selected DTI personnel nationwide, with the aim to produce in-house specialist in key areas.

Ligan, in her speech during the virtual graduation of the Project Dalubhasa, said that it is an honor for her to be given the opportunity to be included in the pioneer batch of the project.

“It is an honor to be in the pioneer batch of the Project Dalubhasa, and I am so thankful for this opportunity that is afforded to me,” she said in her speech.

“My journey was long and not at all smooth. And as with other journeys we take, it was a combination of laughters, fun moments, letdowns, longer nights, anxiety and stress. But it was one of the most rewarding and most beautiful of all experiences that I ever had- meeting new friends, learning new things, shifting mindsets, discovering myself and developing a newer me. It was a journey that not everyone was invited to take, and I have been blessed to be one of those who were chosen to take this path, to become a Dalubhasa,” she continued.

“Everything that we do, gives us an experience of life. It only depends on how we take that experience forward, and the way we execute it,” Ligan added.
