Sarno competed in the 71 kgs.-women’s category on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. According to reports from the Asian Weightlifting Federation, Sarno cleared 128 kgs. in the clean and jerk event enough to cop the gold medal as she lifted 101 kgs. for her to earn a silver medal. Her performance in the 2 events gave her another gold medal.The mayor looks forward to Sarno’s next big tournament, which is the Southeast Asian Games in Vietnam later this year. Contributed photo
