Nagpatuman ug travel ban ang Pilipinas sa mga pasahero gikan sa India. Kini human na usab sa pagsaka sa mga kaso sa Coronavirus disease (Covid) didtong dapita.
Matud pa ni Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, nagsugod ang travel ban sa alas 12:01 sa tungang gabii sa Abril 29 hangtod Mayo 14, 2021.
“All travelers coming from India or those with travel history to India within the last fourteen (14) days preceding arrival shall be prohibited from entering the Philippines beginning 0001H of April 29, 2021, until May 14, 2021,” pahayag ni Roque. (Tanang katawhan nga magagikan sa India o kaha naay kasaysayan nga nigikan aa India sa miaging 14 ka adlaw sa wala pa sila miabot dinhi, kay dili tugutan nga musulod sa Pilipinas gikan sa ala 12:01 sa kadlawon sa Abril 29 hangtud Mayo 14, 2021.)
“Passengers already in transit from the above mentioned country and all those who have been to the same within 14 days immediately preceding arrival to the Philippines, who arrive before 0001H of April 29, 2021, shall not be subject to the above restriction, but shall nevertheless be required to undergo stricter quarantine and testing protocols i.e. the observation of an absolute facility-based fourteen-day quarantine period notwithstanding a negative Reverse Transcription – Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) result,” dugang pahayag ni Roque. (Kadtong mga pasahero nga padung na dinhi o kaha kadtong mga naay kasaysayan nga nigikan sa India sa miaging 14 adlaw apan padulong na dinhi, dili pugnan ang ilang pagsulod sa Pilipinas. Hinuon sila ipaubos sa istrikto nga quarantine ug testing protocol, sa ato pa obserbaran sila sulod sa usa ka quarantine facility ug magpabilin sa pasilidad sulod sa 14 ka adlaw, bisan pa unsa ang resulta sa RT-PCR test.)
Matud pa sa kalihim, ang Office of the President nga pinasikad sa sugyot sa Department of Health (DOH) ug Department of Foreign of Affairs (DFA) ang mag-desisyon sa mga biyahero gikan sa ubang nasud nga makatala ug bag-ong strain sa Covid.
