The modern Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) of the City Government of Tagbilaran is nearing completion and will start operations soon, according to a post by First Lady Jane Yap on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.
The post said that the MRF, located in barangay Dampas, features a thermal gasifier that will be used to process the disposal of residual and medical wastes like personal protective equipment (PPE).
The same post said that the MRF will be featuring bottle crusher/pulverizer and heavy duty sheer shredder.
Other pieces of equipment in the MRF include bio shredder, 1 tonner rotator composter, mortar mixer and hollow block mulder, bailer, and a semi-automated conveyor, the first lady of Tagbilaran bared in her post.
Moreover, Yap in her post said that the facility will be capable to dispose biodegradable waste.
