Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos said he supports the plan of the Provincial Government of Bohol‘s (PGBh) to purchase new dialysis machines, a report from the Vice Governor’s Office says.
According to the report, the PGBh is looking at purchasing twelve (12) dialysis machines. Aside from the dialysis machines, the provincial government is also looking at acquiring the following:
- One (1) automated dialyzer processor
- One (1) semi-automated dialyzer processor
- Twelve (12) dialysis chairs
- One (1) reverse osmosis system
- One (1) bicarbonate mixer
- and one (1) dialyzer rack
These pieces of equipment will be stationed in a new dialysis center in Talibon town.
Meanwhile, Provincial Health Officer, officer-in-charge Cesar Tomas Lopez said that eleven (11) new dialysis machines will be used daily while one (1) dialysis machine will be dedicated to serve a patient who is also suffering from an infectious disease.
Lopez added that the cost of the dialysis sessions will be charged to PhilHealth. He also said that the future Talibon dialysis center will cater to patients from the said town and from the neighboring areas.
