The Provincial Health Office (PHO) provided a briefing regarding the vaccine rollout here in the province to the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) during the regular session of the said august body on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, a report says.
The SP wanted to know the status of the vaccine rollout in Bohol and asked the officer-in-charge of the PHO Cesar Tomas Lopez to provide a briefing to the members of the provincial board for the said purpose.
Lopez reported about the current status of the vaccination program of the Province of Bohol. He said that the province is already proceeding to inoculate persons included in the A2 and A3 priority groups, which are the senior citizens and the persons with co-morbidities.
In his report, Lopez also said that Bohol has listed a total of 42,949 frontliners and 155,845 senior citizens, which belong to priority group A1 and A2. He addeda that as of Tuesday, Bohol already received a total of 48,740 doses of Sinovac and 21,280 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine. From this, 32,873 persons were inoculated with 2 doses of SinoVac and 5,297 persons received the 1st dose of the AstraZenica vaccine.
Lopez mentioned that a total of 2,022 persons got deferred from getting the vaccines for medical and other valid reasons. Meanwhile, 945 persons who belong to the A1 priority group refused to be vaccinated.
Lopez revealed that the country already received 5 million doses of the Sinovac vaccine, 4.125 million AstraZenica vaccines,193,000 Pfizer vaccines and around 15,000 Sputnik V vaccines from Russia.
Furthermore, Lopez said that if ever Bohol will be allocated with Pfizer, we will have the capacity to store this brand of vaccine as the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital (GCGMH) has an ultra-low temperature freezer
