About 23 Bohol local government units (LGU) report that they intercepted persons who allegedly submitted fake real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests as they attempted to enter Bohol, according to Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer (PDRRMO) Anthony Damalerio
In a telephone interview this morning, Tuesday, May 25, 2021, Damalerio said the focal persons in different LGUs are instructed to verify with accredited RT-PCR laboratories for the authenticity of the test results submitted or carried by persons who wish to enter Bohol.
It turned out that there are some persons who wish to enter Bohol and who submitted fake test results, the PDRRMO chief told The Bohol Tribune.
Moreover, Damalerio said the fake test results have tampered with information such as the date of the test and/or the name of the person who was subjected to the test, among others.
Damalerio added that focal persons from the different LGUs have a system to check whether a test result has been tampered with or not.
The PDRRMO chief said that the focal persons from the LGUs of Batuan, Dauis, Talibon, Cortes, Panglao, Buenavista, Tagbilaran City, Sikatuna, Carlos P. Garcia, Duero, Pilar, Sagbayan, Dagohoy, Balilihan, Jagna, Bilar, Bien Unido, Candijay, Valencia, Getafe, Inabanga, Ubay and Tubigon were the ones who intercepted the fake RT-PCR tests so far.
Persons, except overseas Filipino workers (OFW) and returning overseas Filipinos (ROF), who wish to enter Bohol need to present a negative RT-PCR test result taken 72 hours prior to arrival in Bohol, according to Executive Order 17-A issued by Gov. Arthur Yap back in March 2021.
An OFW or ROF entering Bohol needs to undergo a 14-day quarantine based on EO No. 24 series of 2021 in April 2021.
