Fake News

If you happen to be at home with your family while reading this, you are fortunate, this is not fake news, folks. There are still a lot of things to be grateful for in the midst of all this crisis and being alive and COVID-free are among them.

We have ample time to bond and have meaningful conversations at home. When did you talk to each other discussing your struggles with everyday life? If you are not so busy now, enjoy each other’s company. Watch movies together and laugh while telling memories. Dine together with loved ones. Use your creativity through art. Widen your imagination and think outside the box you are in. Create stories that would usher inspiration to the world. Use those hidden talents to inspire.

Netizens enjoy sharing funny pictures (memes) while others express dissent towards certain policies they don’t understand. But please, avoid sharing fake news. We should be mindful of our thoughts and actions as not to worsen the situation.

Do not believe in anything you see on social media. Verify the link first and doing some research won’t do any harm. Do not be tempted to press that share button to all your contacts unless you are sure of the information you just learned. Sharing fake news has repercussions and might jeopardize the welfare of the people.

Reach out to others via social media or through phone calls & texts with news and information that would help the country heal and move forward. Help while you can. We need the cooperation of everybody for us to go back to our normal life and not just the new normal. Do not hoard supplies and food because others need them too. Let compassion rule over greed. Only share relevant and vital information, trust the authorities, and follow health protocols.

Also, the best way to ponder on certain things in life is to meditate and pray. Talk to your God. Even if we have different religions, we have one prayer in mind – to rid the world of this virus.

So please cooperate with the Government and stop sharing those fake information.
