Teaser No. 3: Paging the revival of cases against appointed officials – cases that seem to have been run over by the pandemic

Reports have reached The Bohol Tribune saying that the current pandemic caused by the Coronavirus disease (Covid) must be benefitting some  appointed government officials. It seems that cases filed against some appointed officials have been run over by the pandemic.

For one, the report says that there is this case that was filed in the regional office against one appointed official for abuse of and in authority. The investigation already started before the pandemic but due the emergency caused by the health crisis, the case has become dormant.

Hence, there are some employees praying for the revival of the said case with the apprehension that due to the closeness of the appointed official and the head of the investigating regional office concerned, “Galing ug wala na mahinumdumi ang kaso ug dili ba kaha, galing ug gitaguan sa hunos sa buhatan sa maong regional officer ang maong kaso.”

This prompts some sectors in government to hope that the case will push through in order to deliver justice to the taxpayers whose money are allegedly being squandered by people concerned.

This also leads us to ask the question: Does the said appointed official have a “padrino” who is working behind the scenes to prevent the cases from prospering?

Ug matinuod ni, kinsa man ang iyang gamhanan nga padrino nga hapit naman malubong sa kalimot ang maong kaso?

Your guess is as good as ours. Lifestyle check lagi. Iapil ug check ang mga igsoon ug familya. ‘Til next teaser
