Cong. Edgar Chatto met on June 7, 2021 with Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) region 7 director Narcival Randie Taquiqui along with PRC-7 Chief Administrative Officer Gerdel Bordadora to discuss the possibility of staging some licensure examinations here in Bohol, an information from the office of the congressman said.
The regional director expressed full support to Chatto’s initiative to hold licensure examinations in Bohol, the report bares.
Taquiqui confirmed that the PRC may hold Criminology licensure examinations in December 2021 and the licensure examinations for Teachers in January, 2022.
Earlier, Chatto sought consideration to stage the examinations here from PRC chairman Teofilo Pilando.
Moreover, the congressman also got the commitment of Bohol universities in the facilitation of the testing centers.
Taquiqui said Chatto’s efforts regarding the matter are most appreciated as it will aid both Boholanos and the PRC in ensuring that the graduates have opportunities to maximize their profession.
Holy Name University (HNU) President Fr. Ruel Lero, who briefly joined the meeting through teleconference, also expressed excitement on the possibility of holding the licensure examinations here, according to the report.
The report adds that the HNU president affirmed his university’s willingness to become a venue of the licensure examinations here.
