Starting this June 16, 2021, Panglao reasserts its reputation as Bohol’s Diving Mecca when it will be hosting a 5-day Panglao Dive Festival Reef Rescue. What is seen in the photo will be one of the activities to be featured in the said event, specifically, on June 17, 2021. As a teaser, Department of Tourism Central Visayas’ regional director Shalimar Tamano (right) is covered on the spot as he engages in a coral transplantation activity with one of Panglao’s reef rangers, Danilo Menorias (left). The festival is meant to revive the tourism industry in Panglao and boost the faith of the people that with proper directions, political will and unity, the town’s tourism industry will bounce back to its original status, if not, higher and better.
