Dumaluan matriarch dies, 89

Dalmacia “Mama Mayang” Alaba-Dumaluan died Wednesday, June 9, 2021, according to her son Dr. Doloreich Dumaluan.

She was 89 years old.

In a telephone interview on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, Doloreich said that his mother died due to old age as she was suffering from lingering illness.

Mama Mayang, as she was affectionally called, was a public school nurse by profession, her son told The Bohol Tribune.

Initial plans have scheduled the interment today, June 13, 2021 at the Panglao public cemetery, Doloreich said. Moreover, Bishop Albeto Uy will be celebrating the requiem mass before the burial rites at the cemetery.

Mama Mayang is survived by her children: Teofilo, Teogenes, Teofanes (deceased), Theodore, Teofredo, Teodicoro, Maria Fe and Doloreich with in-laws and grandchildren.

Reports say that most of Mama Mayang’s children are staying in Bohol.
