Town News – Inabanga

SUPPORTING LOCAL FISHERY SECTOR. Mayor Roygie Jumamoy (photo 1) together with Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Member Jono Jumamoy (photo 2) led the distribution of food subsidies to 463 marginalized local registered fishermen from 16 coastal barangays on June 5 & 8, 2021 at the Inabanga Gym. Also in attendance in the said event were SB Members Romeld Estillore, Tian Cempron, Nilo Petecio, Cesar Bautista and Alex Lofranco. The beneficiaries each received a ₱2,000.00 worth of food subsidy consisting of 25-kilogram of rice (photo 3), 2 trays of eggs (photo 4), 1 whole dressed chicken and 1 marinated chicken (photo 5). The program is funded by the collaboration of teamINABANGA, Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and the Provincial Government of Bohol. The program also gave ₱5,000 worth of cash assistance to each registered fisherman. Some of the funds come from the Bayanihan to Recover As One Act (Bayanihan 2).
