First district Cong. Edgar Chatto facilitated on Friday, June 11, 2021, the distribution of the benefits to Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) beneficiaries in Tubigon town, information from the office of the first district congressman reveals.
The solon facilitated the distribution of benefits in cooperation with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
During the distribution, officials from the local government unit (LGU) of Tubigon headed by Mayor William Jao joined the said activity.
TUPAD provides temporary employment to displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers through community work.
The program aims to help disadvantaged or displaced workers whose work status affected by the pandemic.
