Dauis records 5th Covid-related death

The town of Dauis records on Monday, June 21, 2021, its 5th Coronavirus disease (Covid)-related death, according to a post by Mayor Marietta Sumaylo.

In her post, Sumaylo said that the 87-year-old Dauisanon expired in a hospital around midnight on June 21, 2021 due to Covid.

She added that the family members of the latest Covid fatality are already placed under quarantine, including the fatality’s spouse who tested positive for Covid.

The Dauis mayor said the latest Covid fatality was interred on Monday per protocol.

According to the report of the Bohol Inter Agency Task Force (BIATF) at 8 am of June 21, 2021, Bohol’s Covid death toll already reached 71.

Moreover, there are 1,310 active Covid cases with Tagbilaran having the most active cases with 302, followed by Candijay with 60 active cases, Valencia with 53 cases, Sierra Bullones with 52 cases, Dauis with 42 cases, and the towns of Cortes, Balilihan, Antequera and Loon each having 33 active cases, the same BIATF report says.
