Gov. Arthur Yap presented on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, the situation of Bohol amid the Coronavirus disease (Covid) pandemic in a virtual interaction with the Fil-Am Press Club of New York (FAPCN), according to a report by the Provincial Information and Media Relations (PRIMER) office.

The report added that the said virtual interaction was also co-organized by the Department of Tourism (DOT), Philippine Airlines and Orientours Inc.

During the interaction, the governor gave the participants an overview of the Covid situation in the province and presented the plan for the gradual reopening of the tourism industry here using the travel bubble concept.

He also relayed information regarding the actions taken to control the surge of Covid cases here and touched on the province’s food security program, the report bares.

Aside from Yap, other governors invited to the said interaction were Batangas Gov. Herminigildo Mandanas, Sorsogon governor Francis Escudero, and Samar governor Reynolds Michael Tan.

Each governor presented to the participants the situation in their respective provinces, the report reveals.

Moreover, also in attendance during the interaction were Philippine Consul General Elmer Cato, Josh Vasquez of the Philippine Airlines, FAPCNY president Grace Labagala, other members of the said media association, among others.
