Cong. Edgar Chatto lauded on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tubigon led by Mayor William Jao on the blessing and inauguration of the town’s new Isolation Facility, according to a press release from Chatto’s office.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) was the one which implememted the P15 million project that features 16 airconditioned rooms with restrooms and hot and cold water supply, as well as doctors’ and nurses’ station.
The Tubigon Isolation Facility, which was built in two (2) months, is one of the modular facilities built by the DPWH across the country to house Coronavirus disease (Covid) patients.
Moreover, the facility will boost Tubigon’s fight against Covid, at the same time free up space in public school buildings which have been designated and used as isolation facilities, the press release mentioned.
Chatto had the privilege of inspecting the project last June 11,2021, with Jao along with Tubigon Municipal Planning and Development Officer Noel Mendaña and Municipal Engineer Elmer Tan.
During the said visit, Jao presented to Chatto the design plan for the proposed extension of the dialysis center of the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital at the Tubigon Community Hospital.
For his part Chatto is facilitating the procurement of equipment and funding for the training of the dialysis center staff with the Department of Health (DOH).
Jao also shared plans to convert the isolation facility rooms into dialysis rooms once the pandemic ends. The isolation facility’s rooms will be converted and used in addition to the proposed extension dialysis center at the Tubigon Community Hospital.
