Tutor calls for action on transportation bill in the wake of PAF plane crash
REP. KRISTINE ALEXIE TUTOR
Third district Rep. Kristine Alexie Tutor called members of Congress to take action on the pending transportation safety bill in the wake of the incident involving the C-130 plane of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) which crashed in Patikul, Sulu on July 4, 2021.
Tutor said the incident highlights the need for thorough aircraft inspections and continuing flight training for pilots.
As this developed, Tutor stressed the need for a transportation safety board to independently investigate aircraft crashes, ship sinkings, train derailments, multiple vehicle crashes, and other major transport Incidents against safety.
She said there are bills filed in Congress calling for the creation of a transport safety as she calls other lawmakers to take a hard look on the measures to ensure transport safety.
