Tagb police seize P680K worth of shabu following buy bust operation

Tagbilaran police seized P680,000 worth of suspected shabu from an alleged drug dealer following a drug buy bust operation on July 10, 2021, according to a police police report released on Monday, July 12, 2021.

Lt. Col. Mary Crystal Peralta, chief of Tagbilaran police, congratulated the operatives for the successful arrest of suspect Eric Budlong Castardo, 49, of San Miguel Street, purok 4, barangay Manga, Tagbilaran City.

The suspect was arrested at around 1:30 p.m. at purok 2, barangay Ubujan on Saturday, the report adds.

According to the police, Castardo was placed under surveillance following receipt of several complaints from the public on the alleged illegal drug trade perpetrated by the suspect.

The police were able to seize from the suspect about 100 grams of shabu with an estimated worth of P680,000.

Charges of violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 is set to be filed by the police against the suspect.
