Danao police are now conducting hot pursuit operations against an attempted murder suspect after the latter escaped following the commission of the alleged crime, according to a report released on Monday, July 19, 2021.
The police are now tracking the suspect identified as John Lloyd Orapa of purok 1, barangay Dagohoy, Danao.
The suspect reportedly escaped following the alleged attempt to murder the victim identified as Carlito Avelino, 44, also of barangay Dagohoy, Danao.
Initial investigation revealed that the suspect and the victim were engaged in a drinking spree prior to the alleged attempted murder.
Report says that the suspect allegedly, all of a sudden, grabbed and attempted to stab the victim with a pair of scissors.
The incident led to a scuffle as the victim managed to avoid getting stabbed, which also gave the opportunity for the suspect to escape.
The victim sustained minor bruises and scratches as a result of the scuffle.
Meanwhile, the police are now preparing to file attempted murder charges against the suspect.
