Richli Water is filing a case against a suspected saboteur who allegedly made an illegal tampering with a valve box causing water supply disruptions to consumers of the said water utility company.
This was disclosed by Nestor Bentian, the customer relations officer of Richli Water during a radio interview on Monday, July 19, 2021 over Newsmakers Ug Uban Pa Program hosted by Ardy Araneta-Batoy and Gloria Leodivica Araneta.

However, Bentian declined to identify the suspect for security reasons. He also did not disclose the exact motive of the alleged saboteur.
Bentian revealed that it has caused Richli Water a huge cost for the full restoration of the system.
Richli Water estimates the return of the normal operation not latet than Sept. 1, 2021.
Meanwhile, technical teams are dispatched to areas without water pressure to conduct manual troubleshooting and release the air locks as water tankers are dispatched to areas where there is no water pressure and the manual troubleshooting is not enough to solve the water pressure problem.
The Richli Water representative said that the areas of Poblacion 3 in Tagbilaran and Dauis town in the barangays of Biking, Catarman, Dao, Mariveles, Songculan, Tabalong, Tinago and Totolan.
Moreover, Panglao town barangays of Bolod, Libaong, and Tawala are affected, he added.
As of the moment, Richli Water has already placed padlocks on the valve boxes with closed circuit cameras. This is done to prevent a repeat of the alleged tampering with and illegal manipulation of the said valve boxes.
