Yap-Relampagos work to secure food for Boholanos in SOPA aftermath

Buhat gyud ang angay pasultion.”

This is what Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos has to say after the State of the Province Address of Gov. Arthur Yap last Thursday, July 22, 2022 during the 167th Bohol Day celebration.

As this developed, the top leaders of the province are going to work in order to realize the food security  plans as mentioned in the governor’s SOPA.

In his SOPA, Yap did not sugarcoat the trials that faced his administration. But he remains steadfast in providing genuine care and quality public service to the Boholanos, with the unwavering support of Relampagos.

Securing food for the people is one of the provincial governor’s initiatives, which he has dutifully worked on since he started office, according to the vice governor.

The Yap and Relampagos recognize that for Bohol to truly flourish, the province must push for stronger and healthier agriculture.

The province must be able to sustain its own food source and supply so that if calamities arise, the people won’t go hungry.

Relampagos emphasized the need for Bohol to modernize farming, improve economies of scale, provide credit for farmers and fisherfolks, and enhance market access of agricultural products.

Relampagos, as the Presiding Officer of the 28th Sangguniang Panlalawigan, has supported these agricultural initiatives through the passage of a string of resolutions aimed towards allocating costs for these initiatives.
