The University of Bohol (UB) fully supports the government’s Vaccination drive as it announced that that faculty members from the allied medical courses namely, College of Nursing, College of Midwifery, College of Physical Therapy and Occupational, Therapy, and College of Pharmacy who belong to vaccination prioritization Group A1 or the workers in frontline service, have been inoculated, according to a press release from the University
With the help coming from the City Government of Tagbilaran and other local government units, the respective employees of UB got Inoculated with anti-Coronavirus (Covid) vaccines.
Moreover, a memorandum will be issued to all UB employees encouraging them to get vaccinated in order to help attain herd Immunity in the community, the press release adds.
It was noted that people who are completely vaccinated and caught the virus have recovered from the Covid illness.
A number of fully vaccinated persons who contracted the virus are asymptomatic as some only had mild symptoms.
Since day 1 of the pandemic, the University has been strictly following health and safety protocol in its campus and among its employees while efficiently delivering services
to its students through online, modular and blended learning modalities.
In addition, the University, through the Student Personnel Office, Extension Services Office and all the departments, continuously perform its corporate social responsibility by extending various interventions through virtual webinars on health, mental, sports and spiritual wellness.
These activities are geared towards helping the students, parents, guardians and other UB stake holders manage stress during the pandemic.
Recently, UB also conducted community pantries in selected areas, the same press release reveals.
