Guv signs EO closing Bohol borders to travelers for 2 weeks

Gov. Arthur Yap revealed this afternoon, Aug. 2, 2021 that he already signed the executive order closing the borders of Bohol to air and sea travel for 2 weeks starting on Aug. 6, 2021 and will last until Aug. 20, 2021.

The governor made the revelation during a radio interview over NEWSMAKERS radio program on Monday, hosted by Ardy Araneta-Batoy and Gloria Leodivica Araneta.

He said that he signed Executive Order (EO) No. 37 on Monday that orders the closure of Bohol’s borders to travellers. Bohol will still allow the entry of authorized persons outside residence (APOR) and returning overseas Filipino workers (OFW).

Yap said that APORs entering Bohol are not allowed to go outside their respective work bubble and will be allowed to stay here for 5 days. An APOR extending his/her stay beyond 5 days, another round of swab test will be performed and will be subjected to a quarantine while waiting for the results, Yap explained.

OFWs will be placed under quarantine for 5 days and then will undergo another swab test before being allowed to join their respective families and the community, he added.

All APORs and OFWs need to submit a negative polymerase chain reaction test result taken 72 hours prior to arrival in Bohol, the governor said.
