Gov. Arthur Yap issues Executive Order No. 37, series of 2021, which orders the closure of Bohol’s borders for 2 weeks starting on Aug. 6, 2021.

The governor signed the said EO on Aug. 2, 2021.

No travelers coming into Bohol by sea or air will be given permission to enter the province, the governor said in his EO.

However, authorized persons outside residence (APOR) shall be allowed entry. Outbound travel from Bohol is allowed subject to restrictions imposed by the receiving local government unit (LGU), the EO says.

APOR should submit a negative polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test taken 72 hours prior to arrival in Bohol and will be not allowed to go outside their specified areas and limit their interaction to people directly involved in the purpose of the APOR’s visit.

The APOR may only stay in the designated quarantine facility, temporary treatment and monitoring facility or an accredited hotel.

If an APOR will stay in Bohol for more than 5 days and will visit places outside the specified work area, he/she shall be subjected to another swab test on the 5th day from

arrival in Bohol and will stay in a quarantine facility or accredited hotel, while waiting for the results. The APOR will be released from quarantine only if the PCR test yields a negative result.

Overseas Filipino workers (OFW) need to submit a negative PCR test taken 72 hours prior to arrival in Bohol.  They will stay in a quarantine facility or accredited hotel and will be subjected to a re-swab on the 5th day upon arrival in Bohol. An OFW will remain in quarantine while waiting for the results. He/she shall be allowed to go home if the PCR test yields a negative result.
