CLEAR , ERU system continue to receive 115 Covid-related calls
Emergency response has never been as challenging as this time of the pandemic. The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) through its Communication Line for Emergency Response (CLEAR ) system  and the Emergency Response Unit (ERU) received 119 calls in the month of July where 115 of which were Coronavirus disease (Covid) related.
Regular disinfection activities also totaled 146 in the same month of July 2021.
The CLEAR system has been a great ally in  containing the Covid pandemic with its black steel posts with television-like monitor  placed along some of the  city’s streets.
The CLEAR system’s interactivity was truly indispensable, serving as a lifeline between the people and the City Government.
Moreover, the LED boards attached to the CLEAR system provide vital information to help people avoid the risk of being infected.
The LED boards carry various infographics about handwashing, social distancing, and wearing of face masks.
Tagbilaran City’s CLEAR is also equipped with a set of CCTV cameras, a public address system, a dedicated phone, and a blinker.
The CLEAR system poles are found in 12 different sites across the city.
The poles are connected to the CDRRMO Command Center for control and monitoring. The CCTV cameras that are part of the CLEAR system have been very helpful in monitoring the streets for accidents and criminal incidents.
As stated, the CLEAR system which can only be found in Tagbilaran City is situated in 12 strategic locations – Tagbilaran City Square, Pook Pantalan, Causeway, Bool Junction, VP Inting Street, City Hall, Dao Barangay Hall, San Isidro Barangay Hall, Ace Hospital, Ubujan, Manga Market, and Dampas Barangay Hall.

VACCINATION ROLL-OUT. In line with the City Government’s drive to increase the number of anti-Coronavirus disease (Covid) vaccines administered to Tagbilaranons, medical frontliners will administer the jab to the senior citizens and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in their respective homes via the buses deployed specifically for this initiative. This is according to the Facebook Post of City Mayor John Geesnell Yap om August 4, 2021. For inquiries and bookings, please call the City Mayor’s Office thru focal person Zerrah Arcayena at 09073931492.Contributed photo

ROAD CONCRETING PROJECT. True to its advocacy, the City Government is not stopping its infrastructure projects, despite the pandemic. Thus, amidst the modified general community quarantine, the City Engineering Office under the leadership of City Engineer Teodoro Estoque is working double  time to complete the on-going infrastructure projects of the City Government. In the photo is the base preparation in the road concreting of Esabo Road in Barangay Tiptip.
