On August 5, 2021, Cong. Edgar Chatto (in photo) spoke about the impact of the Mandanas-ruling of the Supreme Court to the barangay officials of the First District of Bohol during the Liga ng mga Barangay Provincial Congress at the Bohol Tropics resort. The Mandanas ruling, in effect, increases the Internal Revenue Allotment given to all local government units (LGU) thereby providing  flexibility in local development plans and expanded as well as improved service delivery at the barangay level.
