Gov. Arthur Yap discussed during the meeting with Bohol mayors on Friday, Aug. 6, 2021, the public health and vaccine rollout situation in the province, a report from the Provincial Information and Media Relations (PRIMER) says.
The governor also talked about the border closure to all travelers except authorized persons outside residence (APOR), returning overseas Filipinos and returning overseas Filipino workers (OFW). (WHERE MAN ANG ACRONYM SA OVERSEAST FILIPINOS AND RETURNING OVERSEAS FILIPINO WORKERS?)
The governor imparted to the mayors the vaccine rollout situation in the province. He also extended the information regarding the vaccine information management system called the Vaccination Administration System (DVAS), which is built by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
Yap said the online system allows the efficient entry and storage of data related to people who are already vaccinated.
Yap urged the mayors to utilize the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF) and discourage home isolation as a means to prevent the possible transmission of the Coronavirus disease (Covid).
The TTMF can also be used to house Covid patients who don’t need to be hospitalized in order to bring down the critical care utilization of the province.
The governor has set a goal to vaccinate a total of 400,000 Boholanos within this month, the report mentions.
