PAL announces no cancellation of flights despite Bohol’s border closure

Philippine Airlines (PAL), through its local agent, announced on Aug. 5, 2021, that the airline will not cancel flights coming from Manila to Panglao and vice versa.
Emma Caseñas of PAL, in a statement sent to The Bohol Tribune said that the airline will carry passengers who are considered exempted from the travel restrictions imposed by the Bohol provincial government.
Gov. Arthur Yap issued on Aug. 2, 2021, Executive Order (EO) No. 37 series of 2021 closing Bohol’s borders from air and sea travelers, starting Aug. 6, 2021 until Aug. 20, 2021.
However, authorized persons outside of residence (APOR) and returning overseas Filipino workers (OFW) will be allowed entry into Bohol subject to some regulations.
PAL will also carry cargo coming from Manila as entry of essential goods into Bohol will not be impeded despite the border closure, according to the EO.
The airline will also carry outgoing passengers and cargo coming from Bohol, Caseñas in the same statement said.
In a separate text message, Caseñas said PAL flies daily from Manila and arrives in Bohol at around 10 am and flies back and arrives in Manila at around 12:05 pm.
This however, is subject to change, Caseñas added.
