Sec. Bernadette Romulo-Puyat and Sec. Vince Dizon

National Task Force Against Covid (NTFAC) deputy chief implementor Sec. Vince Dizon announced on Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2021, that tourism frontliners and stakeholders in Bohol will soon get their second dose of Sputnik V as supply of this vaccine brand is set to arrive soon.

“You’ll get that (Sputnik V) in the coming days,” said Dizon during the ceremonial vaccination of tourism stakeholders and workers at Bellevue Resort Panglao on Wednesday morning,

Bohol received 5,000 doses of Sputnik V on June 16, 2021 and were administered to tourism frontline workers. These tourism frontline workers were supposed to get their second dose in July 2021.

According to reports, the arrival in the Philippines of the second dose of the Sputnik V vaccine was delayed due to upgrades done on the jab.

Dizon did not specify how many Sputnik V jabs will soon arrive here in Bohol. He said the Russian-made Sputnik V will arrive in the country on the evening of Aug. 11, 2021

Dizon and Tourism Sec. Bernadette Romulo-Puyat were on hand on Wednesday to witness the ceremonial vaccination of tourism frontline workers.

In the same event, Puyat announced that Bohol will be receiving an additional 10,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine and 5,000 doses of Sinovac vaccines.

Currently, based on the report of the Provincial Health Office (PHO) released on Aug. 9, 2021, around 111, 603 Boholanos received their first dose of the vaccine as 92,998 persons have been given their second dose of the vaccine.
