Gov. Arthur Yap attended the 2021 Provincial Congress of the Liga ng mga Barangay – Bohol Chapter involving barangays in the 2nd district of Bohol that was held at Bohol Tropics in Tagbilaran City on Aug. 12, 2021, reports say.
In his speech, Yap provided a report about the programs and projects of the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) despite the challenges posed by the pandemic.
As this developed, the governor urged the barangay leaders in attendance to strictly implement the health and safety protocol especially now that there is the threat of the possible entry of the Delta variant into Bohol.
He also stressed the importance of the massive vaccine rollout and to convince those who are known to be vulnerable such as the senior citizens and persons with comorbidities to get inoculated. The PGBh aims to inoculate 40,000 Boholanos by the end of August 2021.
The governor also gave updates on programs of the PGBh on food security, waterworks, and agricultural development.
