Guv turns over P10M to Albur creative proj.

Gov. Arthur Yap has turned over on Aug. 15, 2021 a P10 million check for the Alburquerque creative project to Mayor Don Ritchie Buates, according to reports released by the Provincial Information and Media Relations (PRIMER) office.

For his part, Buates expressed elation for the financial aid for the said creative village, envisioned to be as a central venue for training in the manufacture of products like calamay and other food stuff for the locals’ livelihood.

The project is a joint venture of the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) and the local government unit (LGU) of Alburquerque as a livelihood center by providing livelihood training in food processing, loom weaving, pottery and others.

Moreover, Yap also distributed P100,000 financial assistance for waterworks project to barangay Tagbuane and West Poblacion.

The PGBh has been providing financial aid to each 1,109 barangays in the province for waterworks project.

Accompanying the governor and Mayor Buates in the Alburquerque event were town councilor Leonor Buates-Cespon, West Poblacion barangay captain Alex Andoy, Tagbuane barangay captain Ramon Pizarras, Dr. Larry Pamugas of Assistant Provincial Agriculturist, and Maria Fe Dominise of Bohol Investment Promotion Center (BIPC), the report adds.
